ASAT is an offensive, advanced-level progression of small arms proficiency, marksmanship skills and close-quarters tactical training. ASAT builds on all of the learned BSAT skills with the M18 and M4 weapons when employed at long-range targets and in close-quarters urban environments. ASAT focuses on offensive advanced weapons and shooting skills, proven concepts, TTPs, SOPs, and leadership development. ASAT provides Special Warfare Airmen with advanced, mission-capable operator enhancement and professional development. BSAT is a mandatory prerequisite for ASAT courses. ASAT courses consist of Advanced M4 Marksmanship and Close Quarters Battle (CQB).
