SATTT (SPECIAL ADVANCED TACTICAL TRAINING)

SATT focuses on multiple tactical disciplines where Special Warfare Airmen become task-qualified, multi-capable operators and skilled tactical craftsmen in various tactical warfighting domains. SATT provides Special Warfare Airmen with expanded combat capabilities, additional skill sets and professional development. SATT consist of qualification and proficiency training of advanced tactical mission augments with attention to proven concepts, TTPs, SOPs, and leadership development.

BLOCK 11 – TACTICAL MOUNTAINEERING & MOUNTAIN WARFARE

BLOCK 12 – HELO OPS. – AIR LAND/FAST ROPE/RAPPELLING

SATT Block 12 focuses on Helo Operations and Alternate Infill & Exfill (AIE) methods. Alternate Infill & Exfill methods include the capabilities, employment, execution and qualification training of Fast Roping, Rappelling and Airland operations conducted from rotary wing aircraft. Students will receive hands-on training with the FRIES system and Rappelling techniques from a tower with combat loads prior to conducting live-fly training. All training is conducted with approved methods and standard procedures prescribed in USSOCOM M 350-6 for joint interoperability. Students will be task-qualified to routinely and safely perform AIE methods during mission-integration training and possess the capabilities to conduct and maintain sustainment training requirements.

BLOCK 14 – EXPLOSIVE BREACHING & DEMOLITION

SATT Block 14 training focuses on explosive breaching and demolition theory, doctrine, operations, and employment of military explosive charges used in tactical breaching and demolition. Students learn how to calculate Net Explosive Weight (NEW), determine Minimum Safe Distance (MSD), calculate over-pressurization risk and implement protective measures when utilizing military explosives. Students learn knowledge and skills on how to construct multiple explosive breaching charges from standard military demolition materials, charge application, breaching team SUT, TTPs, and SOPs, target reconnaissance and leadership briefings. The course begins with Student academics and hands-on construction of inert breaching charges, then Students gain field knowledge with a dry-fire (inert) practical exercise, culminating with a comprehensive live-fire breaching scenario.
